Projects

This webpage has been exclusively designed to highlight my volunteer work for St. Mary Academy in Pawtucket. As a volunteer, I have contributed to the school's promotional efforts by creating a range of marketing materials such as fliers email banners, posters, and e-fliers for their events. The purpose of this page is to showcase my work and the impact it has had on the school's promotional campaigns.

Pop Corn

For the school concert poster, I utilized Adobe Illustrator to create the music background and Photoshop for the remaining elements. The most arduous aspect of the design process was crafting the popcorn piles to appear natural and stackable. This required a significant amount of time and effort, as I had to meticulously examine and adjust each individual kernel to achieve the desired effect.

Four Seasons

I am pleased to share that I have created a set of four posters, each of which is inspired by a different season. To bring these posters to life, I utilized my skills in both Illustrator and Photoshop. I took great care in selecting a distinct style for each poster, with the summer poster featuring line art, the autumn poster showcasing art nouveau, the winter poster displaying art deco, and the spring poster exhibiting watercolor. I am proud of the final result and hope that these posters will bring joy to those who view them.

12 Days After Christmas Vacation

I had a delightful experience while creating this poster, which is inspired by the kind of notes one might find in a notebook returning from a vacation. To bring this vision to life, I embarked on a quest to find six distinct pencil fonts, designed a variety of stickers, and edited several online assets to enhance the overall look. Among all the tasks, the most difficult part was tracking down the ideal sticky note that would complement the design perfectly.

A Winter's Eve with Catherine McAuley

I designed this poster for a winter concert that commemorates the founding of Catherine McAuley School. To bring my vision to life, I utilized both Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. In Illustrator, I crafted the intricate Celtic knots, which are a significant element of the design, and then I used Photoshop to add the finishing touches and complete the overall look of the poster.

The Orchestra of the Dead

I had the opportunity to design a poster for an exciting Halloween event. One of the most challenging aspects of this project was determining the right style to use. At first, I considered utilizing silhouettes, but I quickly realized that zombies often look very similar to humans, which made that approach less effective. As a result, I decided to adopt a more detailed style for the poster. However, this led to another challenge: figuring out how a zombie would realistically hold a string instrument. To tackle this issue, I experimented with several AI generators to gather ideas and inspiration, although I ultimately chose not to use the generated art. In the end, I was pleased with the final poster and found the entire experience to be incredibly rewarding.

Ring in the New Years

This particular poster project was primarily centered around the process of learning how to create in the pop art style, rather than solely aiming to produce a successful end product. Throughout the entire design process, I relied on Photoshop as my main tool. For the color scheme, I chose to use the CMY colors typically employed in printing, which helped to bring the artwork to life. The central theme of this poster revolves around celebrating the new year, specifically highlighting the joy and excitement of ringing it in with various percussion instruments.
